Fruit Merge Game uses browser storage for gameplay, settings, account access and offline play. Google Analytics measures visits when enabled. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled.

What is stored on your device?

fm_duel · cookie
Keeps a guest or saved duel profile signed in. Set when you open Duel, for up to 30 days, with possible renewal when you return. It is first-party, HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict and Secure on HTTPS. Signing out removes the current cookie and session; deleting the profile revokes all its sessions. Blocking it prevents online duels.
uid · local storage
A random identifier that links your solo rounds to your online scores and personal ranking. Kept until site data is cleared.
highscore · local storage
Your personal best on this device, kept until site data is cleared.
sound, theme, fmLocale, uiRadius · local storage
Remember your sound, display and language choices. Kept until changed or site data is cleared.
achievementOwner, achievementDevice, achievements:* · local storage
Store a random installation identifier, achievement progress, counters and pending synchronization with your game profile. They support game features, not advertising or audience measurement. They remain until site or app data is cleared; deleting a profile removes its available local progress on this installation. On itch.io, these keys use the fruitmerge:itch: prefix.
countryCode, countryName, regionCode, regionName, geoCheckedAt, geoSource · local storage
Remember an approximate country and region, when they were checked and the lookup source used (currently our local MaxMind database). The game revalidates them after 24 hours or a change of lookup service when online rankings load. A failed lookup keeps the last available location. These values remain until updated or site data is cleared.
duelClientId · session storage
A random controller identifier for the current tab. It helps prevent simultaneous tabs from controlling the same match. Kept for the tab’s browsing session.
_ga, _ga_* · analytics cookies
Google Analytics identifiers and session information used to measure visits. Cookie expiry is configured to 180 days and can be renewed on subsequent visits. These cookies are optional and are cleared when you reject analytics using the consent controls.
fmAnalyticsConsent · local storage
When consent controls are enabled, remembers acceptance or rejection for up to 180 days. The record is tied to the current policy version and Analytics property. This preference itself is functional storage.
Service worker and Cache Storage
Cache game files and information pages for offline use after a successful installation. They do not cache live duel APIs, login responses or online score submissions. Files are updated as versions change and can be removed through browser site-data settings.

Analytics and consent choices

Functional game storage supports the features you request, account security and expected interface preferences. Optional Google Analytics cookies are separate from this storage and require prior consent where applicable.

When the consent interface is enabled, Analytics is not loaded before acceptance. Rejecting it leaves gameplay available. The Privacy choices button in the footer lets you accept or reject again; rejection disables further measurement and removes the Analytics cookies accessible to this site. Your choice is remembered for up to 180 days. If storage is unavailable, it applies to the current tab only.

The publisher can enable or disable the consent interface independently of Analytics. With the interface disabled, Analytics starts automatically when enabled, except where a valid previous rejection is saved. This technical setting is not a consent exemption.

Collection depends on the current site configuration.

How to remove or block storage

Use your browser’s settings to clear cookies and site data for fruitmerge.com. This removes your local personal best, preferences and session cookie. You may also need to remove cached site files or unregister the service worker to clear offline storage. Browser privacy settings can block new storage.

Clearing site data signs this browser out but does not delete a saved profile or scores from the server. Save your recovery code first if you want to keep access to your duel account. To delete the profile, use Your profile in the duel lobby before clearing the cookie.

If local storage is unavailable, solo still works using temporary values. Offline play needs cached files, and online duels need a functional session cookie.
